Price: $49.47

Customer Review:
I bought this book straight from the author two years ago. I has been invaluable to me but then again, I'm pursuing a masters in Information Assurance and before that undergraduate Computer and Information Science. For pros already in the soup, maybe a quick guide would be preferred but I needed to... more info

2.IPSec VPN Design (Networking Technology)IPSec VPN Design (Networking Technology)
by Vijay Bollapragada, Mohamed Khalid, Scott Wainner
from Cisco Press. ISBN: 1587051117
Price: $49.50

Customer Review:
This was a great book if your implementation of IPSec were to be solely on IPV4, however, there is not one mention of the changes that affect Cisco networks with IPSec such as no support for IPSec in the transport mode etc. If IPv6 is not a concern, this book is the best available.

Customer Review:
VPNs Illustrated is a great book for those wishing to understand network traffic at the packet level. Author Jon C. Snader was inspired by the earlier TCP/IP Illustrated volumes, and tries to reproduce the Tcpdump-style material found in Stevens' classics. The level of detail found in VPNs... more info

Customer Review:
Eventually we are all going to have to migrate on the Internet from IPv4 to IPv6. To be sure, this has taken longer than expected. Customer Review:
I bought this book when I started working on IPsec. This book goes beyond the text of the IPsec RFCs to explain the workings of the protocols. It also explains the issues with the protocol and does a good job of explaining how to use IPsec for client VPNs.
The minor downsides of the book are -... more info
