NetIP, Inc. is a small company totally devoted to Knowledge Transfer.  The President of the company, Keith Palmgren, divides his time between writing courseware, writing articles, and teaching classes on Information Protection, Network Security, and Computer Security.

- Keith Palmgren's Bio -

Keith Palmgren is President of NetIP, Inc., with over 23 years of experience specializing in the Computer Security field. Keith has held the prestigious CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) designation since 1998. Keith also holds the Security+ certification from CompTIA and the TICSA (TruSecure ICSA Certified Security Associate) certification.

In the past, Keith has provided security consultation to corporate and government organizations – small companies to fortune 100 organizations, and many “three letter” government agencies. Keith’s solutions span all levels of an organization, from tactical systems/network administration to network re-design to strategic planning and forecasting.

Following six years in the Air Force working with cryptographic keys and codes as well as computer security, Keith served as MIS director for Valley Hope, Senior Security Architect for both AT&T and Lucent, Security Practice Manager for Netigy Corporation, and Global Security Practice Manager for Sprint. For the last ten years, Keith has operated his own successful computer security knowledge transfer business – NetIP, Inc.

Keith is the author or co-author of 15 books (training courses) on various aspects of the computer security industry, seven of which where certified as college textbooks by the American Council on Education. In addition, Keith writes articles on current computer security issues in numerous publications and online, including the ISSA Journal, SC Magazine, Information Security Magazine, SecurityDocs.com, SecurityPortal.com, and of course, NetIP.com.

Keith has provided instructor-led, hands-on training to over 4,000 computer professionals on methods for securing their environments. Courses taught include "Essentials of NetWork Security", "Network Security and Firewall Administration", "Designing Security Architectures", "Maximum Unix Security", "Internetworking with TCP/IP", "Network Fundamentals", "Check Point CCSA/CCSE Certifification", "Ultimate Hacking", "Security+ Preparation" and "CISSP Preparation".

Currently, Mr. Palmgren does freelance writing and teaching in an effort to share his knowledge with other security professionals.
